Coronavirus and your Children
Dear Back to Basics Families,
As events evolve with the Coronavirus, I would like to keep you updated to the best of my abilities. I understand that this may be a scary time as we try to protect our loved ones. I'm here to provide the facts as they become available to me.
Here we are into another week of quarantine and uncertainty in our lives surrounding the Coronavirus Pandemic. We will have office hours this week, 3/29/20 as usual, to meet the needs of our patients. Well child visits will be scheduled for routine vaccinations. It is important, now more than ever, to keep your child up to date with routine immunizations.
I have been doing telemedicine encounters via Doxy.me. It is very easy to use and has allowed me to treat and triage patients without having to leave the house or office! From my understanding, patients seem satisfied with the care provided via telemedicine. These encounters are subject to the same insurance rules in regards to copay and deductibles.
As I have mentioned before, please do not take your children to the ER or Immediate Care without consulting me first! I do not want them exposed to other infectious diseases and putting other family members at risk. We will triage the concern and advise you in the correct treatment.
Please stay at home and enjoy family time! Work on a craft, do a puzzle together, bake with your children, or just enjoy snuggling with a movie! These times may be a blessing for families to reconnect with their loved ones without our busy schedules.
Please feel free to call our office if you have any concerns or questions. I will be available 24/7, as usual, by calling the office number 224-333-0730. The health of my patients is my number one priority!
As of July 1, 2019, I have been appointed to the Medical Staff of Lurie Children's Hospital as a Community Based Primary Care Pediatrician. This will give me the latest updates on the best pediatric care for your children and I will be a preferred provider of care to the community. So exciting!!
